Philips AVENT is a child care brand which manufactures baby bottles, breast pumps, and other baby feeding and health accessories. It is based in Glemsford, Suffolk, England. The name AVENT came from the sub-brand Avent Naturally which was launched by a Company called Cannon Rubber (est.1936). The brand was created in 1984 to launch a new type of baby bottle that was short with a wide neck. Avent has won several international awards for its products and was the first baby feeding company to produce teats from odourless and tasteless silicone as well as other patented innovations such a steam and microwave sterilizer and piston-free breast pump.
The Philips AVENT Microwave Steam Steriliser has a lightweight and compact design, which makes it ideal for sterilizing feeding bottles in and out of the home. Contents remain sterile for up to 24 hours if the lid is unopened. Great choice for fast, effective sterilising at home or away. Up to four Philips Avent bottles or products can be sterilised at once, with 99.9% of germs killed in just 2 minutes.
Before you use the sterilizer for the first time, clean it thoroughly. Remove the basket from the base. Fill a baby bottle or a measuring cup with exactly 200ml tap water and pour this into the base. Place the basket in the base. Put the lid on the sterilizer and push down the clips to lock the lid into place. Place the sterilizer in the microwave. Select the appropriate microwave wattage and time and operate it. After the microwave has finished, open it and let the sterilizer cool down before you remove it. Pull open the clips and remove the lid. Pour out the remaining water and rinse the base and basket thoroughly.
